Hartford Funeral Home History
In 1966 two young men and their wives desired to serve their local community and purchased the historic Benton-Felix house which dated back to 1849. The late D.M. and the late Elizabeth Miller and the late Danny Schapmire and wife Suzanne remodeled the old home making it the Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home. The four of them would operate it for over 50 years. Over the years the look of the original house would change. A chapel would be built on and so would a beautiful lounge and front office. One thing always remained, the love and care devoted to each family that came through the doors.
Today we carry on the legacy established by those caring and thoughtful directors. We strive to give individual and personal care to all who enter creating a unique service for everyone.
