Betina is a 1981 graduate of Mid America School of Mortuary Science. She brings over 40 years of experience to the company and specializes in making every funeral unique.

She appreciates the fact that after serving a family, a long lasting friendship is made.

She and her husband reside in Brownsville and are drawn to the smalltown charm that Hartford has to offer. She is the mother of three grown children and 8 grandchildren.

Tommie has been a funeral director for 10 years and is proud to serve families during the hardest time of their lives. He currently resides in Clarkson and has grown to care deeply for the families of not only Grayson County but Ohio County as well. 


He is the father of four sons and has one granddaughter. He looks forward to serving the families of Ohio County as the Preneed Counselor for Hartford Funeral Home.

D.M. Miller Jr, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. D.M. Miller Sr was a 1957 Hartford High School graduate. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Embalming. After graduating from the embalming college he was called to the US Army in 1961. He received his basic training in 1961 at Fort Knox and finished his service at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. 


He was married to Elizabeth Ann Miller who also was a licensed funeral director. Together they had three children, Cynthia Elizabeth, Belinda Diane, and Del.


In June of 1966, D.M., Elizabeth Ann Miller, Danny and Suzanne Schapmire co-founded Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, and for 50 years, served exceptionally the many families who called upon them during their greatest times of need.


D.M. passed away December 13, 2011 and Elizabeth would follow 9 years later on November 23, 2020. Both of them left their mark of dignity and professionalism on Ohio County.

Danny Schapmire was born and raised in Hartford, Kentucky. He graduated from Hartford High School in 1963 and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer having graduated from the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science in Louisville in 1966. In June of 1966 Danny Schapmire co-founded Miller-Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford.


In 1967, Danny married his wife who would complete the foursome and help establish the funeral home. Together Danny and Suzanne have two sons, Marty Schapmire of Louisville and Chad Schapmire of Nashville and four grandchildren. Danny was very proud of his heritage, the families of Ohio County and the trust placed on his family for more than 50 years. A man who spent a lifetime celebrating Ohio County is forever celebrated by those who love him.


On March 12, 2018, Danny passed away although his legacy lives on. Suzanne makes her home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky and is spending her extra time enjoying her family.
