Shirley Richards Boswell

Shirley Richards Boswell, 88 of Dundee passed away quietly on November 7, 2023, at her home. She was born June 7, 1935, to the late Rolla Richards and the late Flossie Matthews Richards in Fordsville, Kentucky.

She graduated WKU with a business degree and would use that degree in several of her jobs including G.E., Bank of Dundee and retired from the Ohio County Clerk office. She was married for 52 years to the late Earl Franklin Boswell. To this union two children, Alex Todd and Deanna were born. While she was a farmer’s wife, she was so much more. She proudly wore many other hats such as mother, grandma and friend.

She is survived by her children Alex Todd Boswell and wife Teresa and Deanna Simmons and husband Timmy; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Richards and Alice Boswell; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Hartford Memorial Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Hartford Memorial Funeral Chapel with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford.
