Keith Leroy Biggerstaff

Cromwell, Kentucky

Keith Leroy Biggerstaff, age 80 of Cromwell, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 2, 1944, in Huron, South Dakota, the son of the late Gordon and Eleanor Olson Biggerstaff. 

 Keith was an engineer and land surveyor and was co-owner of Biggerstaff, Ward and Associates and also worked at Peabody Coal Mines. He and his late wife, Shirley, ran Oldham Ballpark in Beaver Dam for several years so that his daughters and other girls would have a place to play softball. He served as an engineer on the Board of the Ohio County Health Department. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing with his brothers-in-law and fishing with his grandchildren. Keith was a disabled Army Veteran who served in Africa and Vietnam. 

He leaves behind to honor his memory his daughters, Janet Goins (Chad) of San Diego, CA, Karen Biggerstaff of Cromwell, and Krista Burrage of New Albany, IN; nine grandchildren, Natalie, Sophia and William Teglia, Natalie, Audrey and Grant Goins, Courtney, Tracy (Shelbi) and Sydney Burrage; three great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Jeanne Swartz, Sheila Salings (Ronnie), Gordon Biggerstaff (Becky), Vince Biggerstaff, Sherman Biggerstaff (Terri Cook), Shirley Galloway (Alan) and Frank Biggerstaff; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; his sisters-in-law, Betty Poole (Jerry), Ann Chancellor (Daryl) and Wilma Kinder (John); and one brother-in-law, Stoy Denham (Nellie).

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of almost 54 years, Shirley Denham Biggerstaff; and two siblings, Muzette Brown and Glenn Biggerstaff.

 There will be a celebration of life memorial held this summer along with the burial of ashes in Cave Spring Cemetery in Roff, KY.

 In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Disabled American Veterans by visiting www.dav.org.
