With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kathy E. McDonald, born on July 26, 1950, who passed away on October 30, 2024. Kathy was a kind-hearted and selfless individual who lived her life giving to others and loving unconditionally. Her warm smile and compassionate nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
As we mourn her loss, we find solace in the memories she left behind. Kathy's legacy of generosity and love will endure in the hearts of those she touched. She leaves behind a lasting impact that will be cherished for years to come.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Craig McDonald; two daughters, Stephanie McDonald (Rolo), Sarah Taylor (Zach); brother, Jerry L. Gray (Debbie); six grandchildren, Kailee Colburn (Jeremy), Billy Cotton (Brittany), Logan Craig McDonald, Kathryn "Katie" McDonald (Garrett), Trenton Taylor, Gavin Taylor; three great grandchildren, Easton Fletcher, Karaline Fletcher, Oliver "Ollie" Fletcher; dear friend Peggy Vanover, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Barney and Ruby Vaughn Gray, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Jill McDonald; sister, Sue Malicoat and her husband Steve; brother Barney Gray Jr.
Please join us in celebrating Kathy's life at her funeral services 1:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Hartford Funeral Home, where we will gather to honor her memory and share stories of the remarkable woman she was. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM -1:00 PM Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Hartford Funeral Home.
