Helen Darlene Neighbors

Helen Darlene Neighbors, 69 of Beaver Dam passed away July 27, 2024, in Hartford.

She was born August 12, 1954, in Ohio County to the late John Calvert "Tobe" Whitaker and the late Alma Louise Whitaker “Dunning” and wife of the late Jerry Neighbors. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Brandy Johnson; siblings Johnny Whitaker, Bobby Whitaker, Phillip Whitaker “Gene", Charles Whitaker “Charlie", Elizabeth Whitaker ”May" and Dorothy Davis Ferguson.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed watching Gun-Smoke and the Andy Griffith show. She was the center of the party. She enjoyed getting her nails fixed and learning the most recent gossip. Most of all enjoyed being surrounded by her family and taking care of anyone in need and sharing her salt-water taffy and Sunkist.

She is survived by her daughters, Kattie L. Hall, Elaineia Sailing (Ronnie); grandkids, Shay Johnson (Ryan Jones), Brittany Baskin (Aaron Pickett), Collin Baskin, Shelby Lindsey; great grandkids, Ethan Jones, Keelyn Green, Kinzley Jones, Payton Jones, Rextyn Pickett, Aniyah Jones; siblings, Margaret Johnson, Oather Whitaker, Susie Jones (Denver), Raymond Whitaker (Sheena), Victoria Howard (Rick), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
