Dorothy Dever

Dorothy Ellen Dever, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Newburgh Healthcare. She was born in Hartford, Kentucky on October 1, 1922 to the late Frank Farmer and Josie Coghill Farmer. Dorothy retired from Kmart Corporation after 36 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Evansville, IN, as well as a former member if Humble Valley Baptist Church in Hartford, KY. She enjoyed traveling and cooking. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Dever. She is survived by her daughter Betty (Don, Sr) Sauter of Evansville, IN; her grandchildren Donald (Joan) Sauter, Bryan D Sauter, Sheryl (Kevin) Parma; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 pm Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Miller Schapmire Funeral Home, with Sister Mary Doepel officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 pm to 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas; 1702 N Collins Blvd #170, Richardson, TX 75080. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
