Dairl Dockery

Dairl Paxton Dockery, 70, of Hartford, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Dairl was born March 23, 1952 in Hartford to the late Adrien M. and Flora Mae Voyles Dockery. He started work at a young age. He enjoyed watching Western movies and listening to music. Dairl played lead guitar in a band and later performed in a gospel group. Dairl worked as an independent logger for a number of years and later worked at Purdue Farms, where he would later retire. Aside from his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Lee Dockery on August 4, 2001 and several brothers and sisters. Dairl is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Marie Cooper and a son, Dairl Paxton Dockery, Jr.; 9 grandchildren, Cameron, Seth, Adrianna, Miles, Leland, Madison, James, Domenic, and Carter; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Saphira; and a brother, Jerry Dockery. Private services will be held. Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery. Hartford Memorial is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Dairl.
