Janice Swift

BEAVER DAM - Janice Swift, 71, of Beaver Dam went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 4, 2017 under the care of Hospice of Ohio County. She was born in Ohio County, Kentucky on May 10, 1945 to the late Forrest "Boots" and Reola Mae Sandefur Faught. She attended Hartford High School and was a member of St. Martin's United Church of Christ in Dittmer, Missouri for 33 years, where she raised her family and later returned to Ohio County. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wyman Swift, her beloved son, Joseph Scott Swift and one sister, Jo Ann Leach. Survivors include a son, Jeffery Swift (Jamie) of Highland, IL; two daughters, Angela Hill (Ronald) of Lonedell, MO, Robin Miller (David) of House Springs, MO; eight grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Rebecca Miller, Zak Hill (Katie), Logan Hill, Kylie Hill, McKenzie Swift, Madisyn Swift and Hunter Swift; one sister, Betty Daughtery of Beaver Dam and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, January 6, 2017 in the Chapel of Miller Schapmire Funeral Home in Hartford, KY, with Brother Tim Hall officiating. Burial will take place in St. Martin Church Cemetery in Dittmer, MO. Visitation will be held 11 am until 2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
